Valmer

Meet Valmer, the French-Moroccan Tech House producer and DJ who lives and breathes his craft.

DJ Valmer playing at Viceversa

Valmer’s love for music began in a completely different scene - hard rock and metal. A hardcore music fan from early on, he didn’t see much appeal in music that wasn’t raw and played with real instruments. Electronic music wasn’t even on his radar until a chance encounter with Rezz at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, where he discovered Bass Music. That moment sparked something inside him, and he then decided to study every corner of electronic music. From dubstep to Dnb, jungle to techno, he found himself drawn deeper and deeper until finally, he found a home in House and Tech House.

When you listen to Valmer’s music, he hopes it hits you the same way a song does when you first fall in love with it - that moment where you can’t help but hit replay a thousand times because you feel it that deeply. That’s what he wants to give his listeners: that unforgettable resonance that sticks with you long after the song ends.

If you listen to Seré Radio's third episode, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Valmer’s set was a smooth ride through Tech House and Latin Tech tracks, filled with a groove that keeps you moving. Valmer recently dropped a fresh edit of Michael Jackson's classic, Don't Stop ’Til You Get Enough, on Soundcloud. The track has that funky, feel-good energy of the original with Valmer’s unique twist, making it one to watch for when he officially releases it.

In Paris, Valmer is also part of Raison D’Être, a music collective of four friends with a shared love for House and Techno. On November 30th, they’re set to bring their collective energy to Vice Versa.

For Valmer, it’s not just about the music he plays; it’s about the people. When he’s behind the decks, the venue itself is secondary, it’s the crowd that makes the night. For him, the ability to read a room is everything. Song selection is an art, and Valmer’s mastering it, always playing for the vibe of the moment, letting the crowd lead the atmosphere.

So, what’s next for Valmer? On  November 28th, he’ll be releasing his first official track. Then, just two days later, find him live at Vice Versa in Paris!
