Dr. Hide

If you’ve been in Rotterdam long enough, you’ve probably seen the name Dr. Hide pop up—on stickers around the city or on lineups that leave a lasting impression. This DJ from Breda, The Netherlands, isn’t just making noise; he’s creating moments.

Hide’s love for music started at home, with his dad always playing Trance and EDM classics. By the time he hit 15, he had to get his hands on a DJ deck. Inspired by James Hype and Oliver Heldens, he dove into multi-deck mixing and acapellas. Over time, his tastes shifted to the refined sounds of melodic and minimal house. Now, he dreams of playing B2B with legends like Traumer or Chris Stussy—a goal that feels within reach given his dedication.

When Dr. Hide gets on the decks, it’s not just about playing music - it’s about creating an experience. He lets the crowd’s energy shape his sets, which is why he thrives in intimate venues where the connection is real. This same reason makes recording sets tricky for him - without a crowd, it’s harder to find that spark.

Dr. Hide headlined Seré’s second event - a boat party in Rotterdam - and proved exactly why his name deserves recognition. His transitions were faultless and every track felt perfectly chosen. By the end of the night, it was clear that this is a DJ who knows exactly what he’s doing and loves every second of it.

Next on Hide’s journey is producing his own tracks. With his finely tuned ear for song selection, there’s no doubt his productions will stand out. But he’s taking his time, cause he wants his sound to be unique, something that sets him apart from the rest.

In the meantime, you can get a glimpse of his style on his Seré Radio show episode, packed with melodic house tracks mixed seamlessly from start to finish. This is a perfect example of the smooth, journey-like experience Hide creates every time he gets on the the decks.
