ABAV is a name you’ll want to keep on your radar. The French DJ/producer has been mixing since he was 14, first introduced to the craft by his uncle. But it wasn’t until he stumbled upon Daft Punk’s Homework that everything clicked. That album became his gateway into the depths of electronic music. He studied every detail, every sound, every transition. Producing came a few years later, but it was during lockdown that he really locked in, diving headfirst into his craft.
As both a DJ and producer, ABAV thrives on musical versatility. His sets seamlessly blend different styles, but UK Garage remains at the heart of his sound. His ability to mix elements of Techno, House, Bass, and DnB keeps his performances fresh and unpredictable. His catalog jumps from Techno to UKG, from Bass House to Trap, from Dubstep to DnB. Tracks like Upside Down, In a Row, and his Where Are Ü Now flip are proof of his range. His version of Where Are Ü Now flips the track onto a pounding techno beat, while NoVoid and Upside Down lean more into house territory, and In a Row brings full-on UKG energy. His set for Seré Radio is another testament to his versatility, effortlessly blending styles without losing his signature touch.
When it comes to inspiration, DJ Snake stands at the top of his list. Not just for his sound, but for his ability to move seamlessly between genres and still sell out arenas. That’s the goal for ABAV—big stages, big crowds, and music that makes people lose track of time. “The best feeling is when my friends tell me they want to listen to my music all night long,” he says. “That’s the energy I want to bring to every crowd.”
Since moving to Paris, he’s been making moves, playing countless events, and sharpening his skills. His dedication to the craft is clear—spending hours refining his productions, perfecting transitions, and curating sets that leave a lasting impact. 2025 is about something bigger—pushing his solo project and making a name for himself beyond the city’s underground scene. He’s also focused on fine-tuning his production style, ensuring that every track he puts out captures his energy and identity. If he had to choose his dream venues? Rex Club, EDC Vegas, Ultra Miami. And at the rate he’s going, those don’t seem too far off.
